Attention Mechanical Fitters and Production Operatives in the Stoke area.

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are coordinating a program of recruitment for 25 mechanical fitters in the lucrative Rail sector, enabling a career with good financial prospects and job security.

The job is to strip down, maintain and rebuild rail freight wagons, supporting the UK’s drive to reduce carbon emissions and congestion on our roads.

  • You can work more than 4 days if you want, plenty of overtime is available on Friday’s and weekends. You will be able to earn £32,000-38,000k a year in this job.

Work Environment and Hours

Please be aware, this is a heavy engineering workplace, you will get dirty, however, they have a gold standard in approach to safety.

This position is a Day shift.

Shift Pattern: 07:30 to 16:30 – Monday to Thursday

Estimated Earnings including Friday working and OT = £25,000 – £38,000

Base Salary = £25,502 (for 4 days a week)

Successful Candidates

We are looking for a range of candidates with a breadth of experience however all candidates must be able to use:

  • Handtools, Air tools, Socket guns.

There is a strong preference for fabrication and grinding experience.

We will consider experienced hires from previous manufacturing, assembly, warehousing and military environments.

We will consider Inexperienced hires with a minimum level 2 engineering qualification.

Recruitment Process

Ford and Stanley will be coordinating a number of Recruitment Days, the first of which is on Friday 3rd May.
